Per Diem Registered Dietitian
Join a growing private practice in Nassau County with a focus on improving the lives of those in our community. Our approach is client-centered counseling focused on diabetes, pre-diabetes, obesity and related conditions. Positive attitude is a must. Good fit for an RDN/CDE wanting work in addition to existing job or to work in a private practice setting without having to start their own business. Not responsible for attracting new clients, but willingness to help grow the practice is appreciated. Responsibilities mostly centered on documenting client time and maintaining a schedule. Office hours are flexible but typically weekday evenings and Saturday, dedicating 5 hours per week. Potential for extending the workload over time. Pay is commensurate on experience.
Preferred Criteria · Master’s Degree · Outpatient nutrition experience · Bilingual Spanish/English preferred · Billing knowledge a plus · 2+ years in outpatient setting · Involvement with local and/or national AND
Required Criteria · Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent · Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics · Current registration with the CDR · Current certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN)
